The CUBE turns a city into something you can hold onto. Not just a place on a map, but a memory, a moment, or a connection made physical. Whether it’s where you grew up, where you met someone, or where you keep coming back to, each model captures what makes that place yours.
Built from high-precision 3D data, every street and structure is reproduced with remarkable detail at miniature scale. The result is a clean, architectural object that feels like the city it represents. Crafted in Germany using a biodegradable, corn-based material and finished with a solid wood frame, the CUBE is designed to last.
Compact in size, it fits naturally on desks, shelves, or sideboards (and can also be wall-mounted). Subtle enough to blend in, but distinctive enough to start a conversation.

Crafted from a biodegradable, corn-based material, each model features a distinctive matte surface with a subtle, plaster-like texture. The carefully developed white tone is not a pure white, but a soft, curated shade designed to enhance depth, light, and shadow, bringing out the finest details of the cityscape.
Together with a solid black-painted wood frame, the materials are chosen to create a precise and timeless architectural look.

3D Data
The quality of a city model begins with its data.
At CITYFRAMES, every model is built using our own CitySculpt process, a combination of high-quality source data and extensive manual refinement. Instead of relying on generic map data, we carefully reconstruct each area to achieve a level of clarity, accuracy, and consistency that standard datasets simply can’t provide.
Buildings are positioned with high precision, details are selectively enhanced, and each city is optimized to create a clean, readable miniature that still feels true to the real place.
The result is 3D data designed specifically for physical models, not just visualizations.

Each CUBE arrives in a carefully designed, gift-ready package. Individually boxed and cushioned with protective foam, every model is secured with a custom cardboard inlay to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.

Cleaning
To keep your model looking its best, simply use cold air (e.g. a hairdryer) to remove dust, or a soft, dry cloth for smooth surfaces. Avoid water or cleaning agents, as they may damage the material.

For additional protection, we offer optional display covers in glass or acrylic.
Selected models feature magnetic landmark buildings, allowing delicate elements such as antennas to be easily removed and replaced if needed.
About local import charges, taxes and duties
Most orders arrive with no extra fees.
In some countries, however, customs authorities may apply local import charges.
If this occurs, UPS will notify you. Import charges can be paid online through your UPS tracking link or directly to the driver.

Magnetic Exchange Buildings
What Are Magnetic Landmark Buildings?
Some of our CUBE models include one or more iconic buildings that can be removed and reattached using a built-in magnetic system. These parts click into place with precision, adding a small interactive element to your model.
Why Magnetic?
The magnets allow for easy handling without damaging the model. If a landmark or antenna ever breaks, you can replace only that part instead of the full model. It also enhances the unboxing experience, as these landmarks are securely held but still removable.
Availability
This feature is exclusively available for the CUBE size. miniCUBE models do not include magnetic landmarks.
Supported Cities
Selected cities currently include magnetic landmark buildings. When you choose a city in the CUBE configurator, you’ll see a note next to the city name whenever magnetic landmarks are available. This is your indicator that the model for that city contains detachable landmarks.
Display your city open or add a cover for extra protection. For quick care, a little compressed air is usually all it takes.

What are the dimensions?
The dimensions vary by size, with detailed measurements provided on each product page.
What materials are used for the production of the models?
Our models are made of a biodegradable plastic based on natural corn starch. The material has a matte, slightly rough finish resulting in a plaster-like surface.
The frame is made from solid, black painted wood and includes a wall mounting bracket.
Are all cities in the same scale?
The scale varies from city to city. Choosing different scales for each city ensures that all cities are compatible with each other. For example, with our adjusted scales, you can place Venice, known for its small alleys, right next to Dubai, home to the world's tallest skyscraper.
Do the models align with true north?
Yes, our models are oriented to true north, ensuring geographical accuracy and a true-to-life representation of each city. Each frame comes with a mounting bracket to assist you with orienting the city.
How can I hang the Frame on the wall?
Each frame is delivered with an integrated wall mounting bracket that allows for an easy wall installation. Frames in size WIDE are equipped with 2 wall mounting brackets. The frames can be mounted both vertically and horizontally.
How do you get your 3D data?

Can I buy only your 3D data?
Our digital 3D data is not for sale, unfortunately. You’re very welcome to check out our partner shop for digital STL files: www.3dcitymodel.com

How are the 3D Cities packed and protected during delivery?
Each 3D City is placed inside a specialized product packaging.
To ensure stability, the 3D City and its frame are securely positioned using a combination of cardboard, foam, and styrofoam.
How do I receive my 3D city?
We offer worldwide shipping through UPS with tracking information provided. Delivery times and cost will be calculated at checkout depending on your shipping destination country and order weight.
Are your products in stock?
Every model is handmade and produced individually. To reduce waiting times all CityCubes are usually in stock. The production time for a CityFrame can be found on each product page.
Can I make my order a gift?
After placing your order, please send us a message to mail@cityframes.de to make sure no invoice is attached to the package.
